In Oklahoma, a Republican official (they're ALL Republicans) would, without the least hesitation or sign of disturbed composure, say something like.....
'Pardon me, I do appreciate your concerns, but I don't see that this is the time or the place to make this about anyone's politics. I'd suggest you take these issues up with the fire department. Now, if there is nothing further....'
...and return to their daily orgy of stuffing their pockets with other people's money.
You see, Oklahoma's Republicans claim to believe in limited government, personal responsibility, and traditional values. Limiting government to whatever a given office can still afford to do after their budgets had been looted in advance, while stating on every occasion that someone else has jurisdiction and therefore must be the ones personally responsible, is just how we'd always done things around here, and we're a-fixin'ta keep it that way, and protect God's people from the evils of libber'lism, Praise the Lord.
